Keeping the Plates Spinning

IN February 2007, Nina Lentini became the editor of Marketing Daily, a five-day-a week online trade newsletter that covers the advertising and marketing industries.

She had one full-time reporter, who wrote two articles and two news briefs a day for her, and four paid freelancers, who each wrote one story a day. And she herself reported an article daily, on the food and beverage industries.

At age 57, Ms. Lentini has spent most of her career in print journalism (as a reporter for The News-Times in Danbury, a copy editor at The Daily News in New York and The Bulletin in Philadelphia, and a managing editor at Adweek and The Norwich Bulletin).
