Study: Web TV to get boost from sports videos

The number of sports video streams and downloads served in the U.S. and U.K. markets is projected to more than double, from 5.2 billion and 398 million, respectively, in 2007, to 10.8 billion and 1.2 billion by 2012, according to a new Screen Digest report. The report also estimated U.S. ad revenue will increase during that period from $762 million to $2.3 billion, with the U.K. set to record a jump from $45.6 million to $160.8 million.
