For busy Web users who want to keep up with entertainment, style and shopping options, e-mails conveniently delivered to subscribers' inboxes from sites like Thrillist, UrbanDaddy or DailyCandy can replace hours of Internet surfing. "We appeal to people who like to be on top of things but don't have the time to do it," said Gary Foodim, general manager of Very Short List.
